The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has introduced a revised grading system along with new passing marks for students. Under the new policy, the passing marks have been increased from 33% to 40%.
The revised grading system will be implemented from the First Annual Examinations 2026 for SSC-I (9th Class) and HSSC-I (11th Class). The FBISE new grading system will later apply to SSC-II (10th Class) and HSSC-II (12th Class) from the First Annual Examinations 2027.

When Will the New FBISE Grading System Start?
The revised grading system will be implemented from the First Annual Examination 2026 for SSC Part I (9th Class) and HSSC Part I (11th Class) students.
For SSC Part II (10th Class) and HSSC Part II (12th Class), the revised grading system will be applicable from the First Annual Examination 2027.
